I was very sad to read the news of Ralynn's unfortunate passing in the skating magazine. We had met each other at the old Broadmoor arena in 1989. She and I became fast friends. Later, we were partners in the tour of Nutcracker on Ice and spent countless hours together, talking, touring the new cities, laughing and loving life. I will miss her dearly even though I hadn't stayed in touch as much as I would have liked. I had thought of her often. My deepest sympathies go out to all who were dear to her.

This has been a very difficult year as I have missed my precious daughter so much, but I want to thank each and every one of you who took the time to make an entry into this guest book. That was an act of kindness for me and every word helped me to gather the strength from God to go on. I know you all in one way or another and because Ralynn loved each of you,you all ended up on my prayer list for one reason or another :), and you are still there. May God Bless you all and may you find a place with the Jesus that meant so much to Ralynn and live the rest of yourlives in a way that will glorify HIM! I want to hear about all your lives and for those who have yet to marry or have children, I ask you to keep me posted. If Ralynn loved you, so will I. I am available for the same things Ralynn was, encouraging you in your lives. May God Bless you all and you can reach me through the "Contact Us" page on this website.
Thank you ALL again!

Sad to hear the news of Ralynn's passing! I have so many fond memories of Ralynn at the ice arena and in high school and all of them are of her with a gleaming smile on her face! I am sure Ralynn is making the angels laugh and smile now!

Today, Ralynn would have been 33 years old. Its hard to believe its been a year that we lost such a great person, however, the loss is not in spirit. Her memory lives on each and everyday by the great things Ralynn did while she was here. I know she is smiling down on us from Heaven wanting everyone to enjoy life and to be happy.

To: Sande, Ron, Rob, & Robyn,
Even to this day, words just can't express the sadness and the grief still in our hearts because of Ralynn's death. But she left us a legacy to follow: Love God with all your heart; tell others about His Son; Live and love everyone just as He did; Enjoy His creation and His creatures; Do as much as you can because we are only assured of right now, today; set your hearts on things that are above (God)and don't look at this life as permanent; it is NOT. Age doesn't matter to death--none of us will leave this world alive, so PREPARE for your meeting with God.
AND THIS IS WHAT RALYNN WOULD TELL YOU TODAY if she were still here.

Without Ralynn, I would not be the person I am today. She is someone I will forever miss. Although she is gone now, I will continue to use all of the lessons she taught me in my daily life. I know that the Lord is keeping her safe and that she will be there to guide us and talk to us when we need her. We can forever share our love with Ralynn and I am so grateful for that. We miss you, Ray.

Dear Ralynn, for some strange reason I thought about you for the last couple of days. So I googled your name today and clicked onto this link, only to find this. I was in shock, then I started thinking about the fun times you, Kristi and I had in the early 90's. Remember when we were in my truck in front of Kafeo and started karaokeing to Piano man? Those were good times. Happy Ralynn, I will never forget your goofy smile.

I met RaLynn because she was a really good friend of a woman I was dating while I was in college (Kristi -- I hope your well too).
Then I got to know her mom and dad and her brother and his family.
They were all wonderful people, which is not too surprising. In RaLynn's case, the apple did not fall too far from the tree.
RaLynn's house while I was in college was always a great place. Peaceful, inviting, fun and interesting all at the same time.
Life with RaLynn meant being content with just a little of her attention. So many people were always calling on RaLynn who was a genuinely friendly person.
Praise God that RaLynn is now waiting for us in heaven -- where I am sure she continues to draw an entourage due to her smile, energy, and sincerity.

To my PRECIOUS sister Ralynn,
I LOVE YOU !!!!!!
I MISS YOU !!!!!!
Of all the letters I have written you through the years, I never imagined I would be writing to you while you are in Heaven.
I was 13 years old when we first met and I held you in my arms and kissed you, on 30 September 1974, when Mother brought you home from the hospital. You were the most adorable baby I had ever seen.
I remember asking Mother if I could change my name to Ralynn and we decided to give that name to you. It pleases me to know you Loved your name. A pretty name for a pretty girl, who blossomed into a beautiful young lady.
Sometimes I would get up in the night with you and change your diapers and read stories to you. I knew immediately you were a very unique person.
Watching you grow up was quite an experience. You were always so curious, a little actress, made everyone laugh, always spoke your mind, full of energy, love, kindness, and such a free spirit. It was difficult to keep up with you.
You accomplished so much in your short 31 years. I believe that is a result of your personality, and the fact that Mother Home Schooled you, and the Holy Spirit in your heart.
I am soooooooo proud of you always. From as a young girl setting up lemonade stands, to baby-sitting, Ice Skating (Plus touring with the Nut Cracker), volunteering at St. Francis Hospital, getting your EMT License, cycling, piolet lessons, debate team and swim team at Wasson High School, Youth Group at Grace Bible Church, coachng and choreography, Medical school, and your excellence at Abitibi Consolidated, your last place of employment (everyone spoke so highly of you), and probably many other achievements I cannot remember at this very moment. Through it all you always had a kind heart and concern for every person you came in contact with.
FORGIVE ME for being selfish, but I want you here.
I know you are happy in Heaven with God and not suffering so that is the important issue. Also you are re-united with Grandpa Healy, Grampy and Grammie Frank, and OUR DADDY, plus others, all watching over us from above.
As you allready know, Andrew has extended your Guest Book, so I may write again.
I miss you Ralynn, my litte ANGEL girl.
Your sister,
Robyn
P.S. To all of you whom have written to Ralynn's Guest Book, mailed cards, phoned the house, and or attended her two different services, I want to say THANK YOU.

Ralynn
I remember first meeting you when I started skating at the Aerodrome, and I thought you were the coolest because you had the same name as my neice!
But then I grew to know you, your compassion for others, your faith in God, and your committment, and for those reasons and many more I had a lot of respect for you and your purposes.
I will always remember the spectacular choreography that you created on the ice, and the wacky conversations that took place behind closed doors.
You truly were an amazing person with a heart of gold, and I will miss you greatly.
It is tragic events like these that make you stop, look back, and put everything into perspective...life is short and should be treasured, because you never know when He will call you back home.
Condolances and love from me and my family...

When I was just starting my first skating job as an assistant with group classes, I was blessed to be able to work with Ralynn...not only did the kids have a fantastic time in her class, but I felt joyous and happy whenever I got to help her...I learned so much from working with her that summer..whether it was games and teaching strategies, or learning from how she seemed to have a magical touch when interacting with the people. She was always so gracious in simple things, and so sincere..so encouraging and gave everyone a boast of confidence to lift their spirits. I remember she always had the kids in the tot class chant the "magic words", "I think I can, I think I can." It was really fantastic how she instilled not only skating skills, but also positive attitudes and confidence in people.

Miss Ralynn,
I know after all these years, I should start leaving out the Miss, but to me you have always been someone that I respect and honor- as my teacher, as my mentor, and as my hero.
I admit that I have been postponing this journal entry because I wasn't sure that I could express in words how I feel about you, or how much you have changed my life. You taught me physics when I was 7, you taught me the story of the Titanic when I thought boys had cutties, and the day before you left for medical school you came over to my house because you knew how much I Love you, and because you love me too. You spoiled me so much with your passionate hugs that once you were gone, I felt no one truely loved me because they couldn't express their love the way Miss Ralynn did.
And although I may have to work a little harder to feel your presence now that God has taken you to heaven, I know that you are still with me. Hugging me. Smiling at me. And hopefully, you are proud of me because, Miss Ralynn, although we haven't been together physically as much as we used to, I have continously tried to be the best for you. And now, all I can hope for is to be a great role model, just like you, so as you watch me from up above, you can still smile with adulation, joy, and pride.

Although I only met Ralynn one time a few years ago while we were teaching skating, I told her that that I thought she had the most beautiful name I had every heard and if I had a daughter, I am going to name her Ralynn. On September 6, 2006, I gave birth to my daughter, Raelyn Renee. Although, I didn't know Ralynn very well, anyone who knew her told me she was one of the most kind, caring, compassionate person they had ever known. It is comforting to know that I had chosen a name of such a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ralynn's family and friends.

I did not coach with Ralynn on a regualr basis, but worked with her a lot on the ice shows that we did at the Aerodrom. I couldn't believe how full of live, and how amazing she was to work with. I will never forget watching her skate. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever see. I loved to watch her choreograph a program to new music, it was like watching a swan take off into the air.
She inspired me in so many ways. I will never forget you.

I miss Ralynn so much already that words can not express my sadness or loss. I knew Ralynn when we both lived and trained at the Olympic Training Center. The times we spent together there were a glorious treasure that will live with me forever. Ralynn was very special, the most special woman I have ever known. Her capacity to love and to enjoy life were unique and the world has lost one of its greatest lights, a living angel. I know God must have big plans for Ralynn to take her from us so early and I will try to take comfort in that as I struggle with the seemingly ultimate unfairness of it.
God Bless Ralynn and her family, and may he strengthen and uplift those of us that mourn her.

I will always remember her smile...her positive attitude and her energy...I think we really don't realize as coaches how much we affect peoples lives...Even one or two lessons with a child can change them forever...I will always remember her putting smiles on children's faces from tot classes to on ice ballet.

I first met Ralynn when we were both just kids learning to ice skate at the little ice rink in The Woodlands. Ralynn was just 5 years old then and I was all of 10. My first memories of her, were as this precocious little girl following me around the rink asking for help learning her axel. I can still see her gliding gracefully across the ice and dancing her first routine to the “Music Box Dancer.”
I moved to Colorado in 1984 and Ralynn followed soon after. We both trained together as figure skaters at the Broadmoor World Arena. It was during these years that I began to learn what a special person Ralynn was. We competed in pair skating together… one time she was choreographing a program for us to skate… the music was Romeo & Juliet, she insisted that for the choreography to come out right, I needed to pretend that I was in love with her during the routine! This was quite a funny request coming from such a little girl, especially one I considered as my little sister!
We went to church together, participated in the same youth group, grew up together as friends.
Right from those early years, Ralynn was vivacious and full of energy. Where I would barely speak to someone I didn’t know, Ralynn would go up to a stranger, introduce herself, and then they were fast friends a few minutes later. AMAZING! How she did this, I can hardly comprehend… it must have been her true love and compassion for people.
It was only later that I learned this love in her heart for people came straight from God.
Ralynn’s faith in God was more than just head knowledge, it could be found deep in her heart. Ralynn had a gift for loving people, but this gift was not her own… it was God reaching out through Ralynn to show His love and care for them.
Ralynn never had a dull moment. She could turn anything into hilarity. Once myself and several friends were in her apartment… there happened to be a tube of cheese cloth lying on the counter in her kitchen. Ralynn picked it up, went into the other room, and came out modeling to a room full of friends… wearing nothing but cheesecloth!
I owe so much to Ralynn. She brought me out of my shell, encouraged me and helped me to become the man that I am. She even introduced me to my wife, Jeannie, and served as my “best man”, at our wedding.
Ralynn packed ten lifetimes into just 31 short years. She lived life to the fullest, because she was full of life. I know that God does not make mistakes, this was in His time, not ours. Although we will miss her deeply, we cherish our memories, and how she changed our lives. Ralynn is now enjoying eternal life with her beloved father and Heavenly Father.
Knowing Ralynn, she is now choreographing for the angels in heaven!

Ra'lynn,
It was the summer of 1990 and you were only sixteen when we met. You were at the velodrome in Colorado Springs watching the races. I went on to coach you with your bicycle racing aspirations. Your determination never faulted and you saw many victories. It's this same perseverance that has taken you to fabulous heights in your life and in helping others. The memories I have of you will stay with me forever. I have never seen you without a smile on your face...the way you affected people was truly amazing. The world has lost one of it's most beautiful people. My heart and prayers are with your family and I know you are looking down on us from Heaven. Only God understands why. From all of your friends and the people who have had the honor of your touch...We love you Ra'lynn!!!

As the years have gone by, after moving here to Euless, going through three years of high school, meeting new people and learning the life lessons one tends to learn at this age, I feel I've developed into the kind of person who takes things as they come and finds it easy to adapt to changes. I'm not usually very emotionally affected by the deaths of others, perhaps because no one who I would consider to be very close to my heart has ever passed away before. But for the past week, Ralynn has been in my thoughts more than anything else has. I thought after I heard of the accident that I would accept it and move on rather briefly as I usually do, but this was not so. I have known Ralynn for over ten years, and it's hard to accept that someone so effervescent with spirit and love for all those around her could pass away so early in her life. Ralynn was a wonderful person, and her spirit has left an impact on who I am today that I will carry with my for the rest of my life. Ralynn, you will be missed.

Runner,tri-athlete,coach,paramedic,
competitive skater, swimmer, medical student, counselor, clown, shoe lover, choreographer, substitute "aunt", tutor....these were all the names my family knew Ralynn by. It seems to me that she lived ten lives in the time that most of us live one. My daughter Meghan was a student of hers and learned as much about leading a good life as she did about skating. My son Brian ( a clumsy hockey player) learned how to do an axle in the kitchen of our house in Spring,TX during one of the weekends she spent at our home. And I am forever grateful to her for helping to shape my daughter into the independent, confident woman she is today.

I will never forget your wonderful smile and endless energy, your endearing wit and your boundless care. I met Ralynn almost 13 years ago as a shy student accompanying a friend to a stranger’s house, and developed a friendship that will endure time. I am a former student of Ralynn's. We had so much fun in our weekly lessons for about four or five years. But I grew up, and she moved on to other things and we would probably talk once every 2 years or so to catch up, the most recent time thankfully being about 3 weeks ago. I was especially saddened because of our recent communication, but then I remembered her faith. And I know that she's not looking back now. And as a fellow believer, I will see her again, and that's glorious!

Dearest Ralynn,
You know how much you meant to me as my coach, my mom, my best friend, my mentor, my everything. I met you when I was only 10, we went through my teen years (through which I was a brat I know), you gave me those awesome fuschia gloves that I will use everytime I skate (even though you hate them hehe), you came over for prom and you got me ready!, then my graduation and dance performance, then finally, during these last few years while I've been in college, you've confided in me and I in you. I will never forget you. You are one of the most beautiful people I have ever met and right now, I dont know how I will get through life without you in it, but I take comfort knowing you are watching over me. I love you and will miss you always.

The sun rises
Rain falls
Flowers grow bloom and die
People come and go
We can’t hold onto any of them
People especially
come and go so quickly and often
In this rush around hectic schedule busy day
How easy to take for granted
They would always be
Lending a hand or a smile or a shoulder
When we slowed down enough to be in need
How just as easily
That hand or shoulder or smile
Could become unavailable
Or gone forever
Like Ralynn.
Warm smiling friend whenever we might chance to meet
Gone already
Forever
And who even had a thought to say ‘goodbye’?

I will always fondly remember Ralynn and her "flair"! Always looking beautiful, hair done, gorgeous hat and scarf... She was truly a beautiful and kind person, inside and out.

We are friends of the Levins & I met Ralynn a few times. She seemed to be a very loving and compassionate lady. We lost two wonderful people that day,a loss that so many people will never get over. My family and I pray for you and the Levin family every day. God Bless - The Crain Family
